What is Too Hot to Be Cool?
Too Hot to Be Cool (THTBC) is a volunteer-run rock event series in Tokyo launched in 2024.
We rent a venue, bands volunteer their time and talent, and every yen from ticket sales goes to youth-led non-profit organizations fighting for climate justice in Southeast Asia.

Our achievements so far

Fighting for climate justice and environmental protection in Southeast Asia, these are the nonprofits we’ve supported so far.
Since our second edition, Too Hot to Be Cool focuses on supporting youth-led nonprofits in Southeast Asia, a region already facing severe climate impacts despite contributing far less to global emissions.
By raising funds in Tokyo and sending them to the region, we help strengthen youth climate movements and initiatives where resources are limited but the challenges are already immense.
Kids for Kids mobilizes and inspires children and young Filipinos to drive climate action, from urban centers to the most remote islands.

Klima Action Malaysia drives climate action and gender equality through grassroots campaigns and policy advocacy.

Mangrove Matters mobilizes Filipino youth to restore mangrove forests along the coastline, protecting communities from rising seas.
