Tokyo, 11 September 2026 — Too Hot to Be Cool, Tokyo’s rock-for-climate event series running since 2024, is teaming up with LOUD WOMEN, the UK’s largest women-led music organization, to bring LOUD WOMEN Fest to Asia for the very first time. LOUD WOMEN Fest Tokyo × Too Hot to Be Cool takes place Saturday 14 November 2026 at Shinjuku MARZ.
Since its first edition in 2024, Too Hot to Be Cool has built a track record of nine editions in Tokyo, donating close to ¥2,000,000 to youth-led climate NPOs across Southeast Asia through grassroots, volunteer-run rock shows, including a sold-out beach festival in Kamakura this summer. For this milestone 10th edition, the team partnered with LOUD WOMEN, an international feminist music community founded in London in 2015, to co-organize its first-ever festival in Asia.
Selected from hundreds of applications from around the world, nine women-led and non-binary-led punk and alternative rock bands take the stage for one night only: 18Fevers (South Korea), Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass (Japan), The Daddy Sisters (USA), THE JUNGLES!!! (Japan), Mika Bomb (UK), Molotov Princess (Japan), Siam Jem (USA), Sister Ghost (Ireland), and Vampire Bats (Japan).
Three bands on the bill – Mika Bomb, 18Fevers, and THE JUNGLES!!! – have played at Rebellion Festival (UK) this summer, the world’s largest independent punk festival.
As with every Too Hot to Be Cool edition, 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to a climate cause: this time, WildAct Vietnam, a women-founded conservation NGO based in Hanoi working to protect wildlife and ecosystems across Vietnam, with a dedicated program empowering women in the conservation sector.
Stéfan Le Dû, founder and organizer of Too Hot to Be Cool, said:
“We’re thrilled to partner with LOUD WOMEN for their first event in Japan. Diversity and climate justice go hand in hand. Through this collaboration, we get to support both causes at once, while giving our Tokyo community the biggest event we’ve organized to date, with nine bands from Japan and around the world.”
LOUD WOMEN founder Cassie Fox added:
“Launching LOUD WOMEN Fest in Japan is something we are incredibly excited about. This is about creating new space, new connections and new opportunities for artists who are too often marginalised. Working with Too Hot to Be Cool, and raising money for a climate change NPO, makes this a truly meaningful first step for LOUD WOMEN in Japan.”
